CHEERLEADING
There will be many exciting and challenging changes to the season. One of them is the division levels of cheer. As more venues for competition are available to us, we are building teams to compete at a fun and safe level while conforming to all AYC and IRCA guidelines and rules.
Cheer Team Age Breakdown (UPDATED for 2010)
| 7 & under (Mitey Mites) | Minimum Age 5 (red skills only) |

| 12 & under | Minimum Age 11 (2010 transitional exception - see AYC Rule Book for details) |

I encourage you to understand the age requirements and discuss any issues with your coach. *If this is your child's first year of cheer we reserve the right to place them on the cadet level. We will not put any child at risk if they are not ready for the stunting of the 10 & under level.
The WYFL Inc. reserves the right to make final placement of any participate or provide a refund according to our policy.
Another key change will be the introduction of Conferences and Divisions (attached). We are in Division II Red of the South Conference. This will cut down on some of the Travel. Because there are only 7 teams in our Division, we may play teams twice or out of Division. There will be no Division I games for the 2010 season. Because of this new structure, the playoffs will look different. I will have more detail later.
